Tono Miakoda is an internationally recognized financial educator, economic empowerment advocate, mentor, author, and founder of the Koda Institute of Market Technology.
As the creator of the Gold Mastery FX™ and Money Mindset Mastery™, a comprehensive course series designed to transform how individuals understand wealth, develop financial discipline, and build long-term economic stability, Tono has dedicated his life to helping individuals develop financial literacy, strengthen their decision-making skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the financial markets.
His mission is simple but powerful: to expand access to financial knowledge and create pathways to economic opportunity for individuals and communities historically excluded from traditional financial education.
A JOURNEY DEFINED BY RESILIENCE
Every meaningful mission begins with a challenge.
For Tono, the path to founding the Koda Institute of Market Technology was shaped by adversity, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to personal growth.
Early in life, Tono was misdiagnosed within New Jersey's educational system due to severe dyslexia. The experience revealed how easily human potential can be overlooked when educational systems fail to recognize diverse ways of learning and information processing.
Years later, in 1994, a devastating motorcycle accident nearly claimed his life. The crash resulted in both a traumatic brain injury and a severe cervical spine injury that left him permanently disabled. During his recovery, he was forced to relearn how to walk and speak, rebuilding abilities that many people take for granted.
Rather than allowing these circumstances to define his future, Tono transformed adversity into purpose. The experience reshaped his understanding of resilience, human potential, and the power of education to create opportunity where others see limitations.
Today, those lessons serve as the foundation of his work and the mission of KODA.
From Music Industry Executive to Financial Educator
Before entering the financial markets, Tono built a successful career in the global music industry.
As one of the founders of W Music Group, an international artist management company with offices in New York, London, and Stockholm, he represented and developed world-class songwriters, producers, and recording engineers whose work contributed to projects involving globally recognized artists, including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, Destiny's Child, and Jessica Simpson.
While the music industry offered tremendous opportunities, an unexpected encounter would ultimately change the direction of his life.
During a meeting with a veteran Wall Street trader, Tono was offered something far more valuable than a business opportunity: access to the inner workings of the financial markets.
Through this partnership, he was introduced to a world driven by probability, discipline, psychology, and strategic decision-making.
What began as curiosity quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit of financial knowledge and market mastery.
THE PATH TO MARKET MASTERY
Over the past three decades, Tono immersed himself in the study of gold futures, commodities, and global currency markets.
Through years of research, market analysis, and practical application, he developed a deep understanding of market structure, trader psychology, risk management, and the discipline required to navigate financial markets where trillions of dollars move every day.
However, as his knowledge expanded, he recognized a larger issue.
Many of the communities he came from, communities of color, underserved neighborhoods, and economically marginalized populations, had little access to the knowledge, tools, and financial education necessary to participate in the modern economy.
The problem was never a lack of intelligence, talent, or ambition.
The problem was access.
That realization became his mission.
To Tono, financial education is about far more than money. It is about creating access, expanding opportunity, and empowering individuals with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions and pursue economic independence
FROM GOLD MASTERY FX TO A GLOBAL EDUCATIONAL PLATFORM
Driven by that mission, Tono developed Gold Mastery FX™ and Money Mindset Mastery™, educational programs designed to simplify complex financial concepts and make market education and financial markets accessible to everyday people.

As an avid sailor, Tono discovered that many individuals with disabilities were excluded from the sport simply because traditional sailboats were not designed for them. Inspired by the possibilities, he decided to create an adaptive sailing program in New Jersey.
Building the Future Through KODA
Today, Tono serves as the Executive Director of the Koda Institute of Market Technology.
Through KODA's Market Technology & Quantitative Financial Literacy Initiative (MTQFL), Tono is working to prepare individuals for success in an increasingly technology-driven and AI-powered economy.
His vision extends beyond financial education.
It is about helping people develop the confidence, knowledge, and skills necessary to create sustainable economic opportunities for themselves, their families,
and future generations.
